EPL title: Michael Owen predicts what will happen to Man City, Liverpool on final day

Former Liverpool striker, Michael Owen, has admitted that Manchester City will become the first side in a decade to retain the Premier League title this weekend.

Owen however expects his old club to also win and reach the 97 point mark with a final day win.

Liverpool and City head into the final day of the season separated by just a point at the top of the table.

Pep Guardiola’s champions head to Brighton knowing that victory will hand them back-to-back titles.

But Jurgen Klopp’s Champions League finalists are waiting for any slip up from City, as they seek a first title in 29 years.

“It is hard to see the Seagulls stopping City winning their 14th successive league game.

“That stat shows just how hard Liverpool have made City work for the title. The Seagulls showed at Arsenal on Sunday that they will not lie down and, indeed, could have snatched it at the death at the Emirates had they shown more composure in front of goal.

“City were not at their brilliant best against Leicester on Monday night but a moment of inspiration from skipper Vincent Kompany was enough to give them the points. Pep Guardiola’s side would love an early goal, but they may have to be patient on the south coast although I do believe they will, eventually, run out comfortable winners,” Owen told BetVictor.

Kwara state INEC representative Reveals That He was offered money to rig the election

Garba Madami, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Kwara State, has just revealed that he was offered some money to rig the election in the state.
According to Madami, some politicians offered him some money so he could rig the 2019 election in their favour.

Speaking with journalists in Ilorin today, Madami said;

“There was pressure by politicians who offered me money to compromise the 2019 general election in Kwara State, but I stood my ground and refused to give in. The nature of our job at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is too tempting. It is left between you and God to do the right thing and keep your integrity, or compromise and lose your integrity. You may even go to jail” he said.

He continued saying;

“The politicians have money and some of them feel that they can buy anybody with the money. It is a matter of integrity; it is left for you to be careful and work transparently to keep your integrity.

“What I did in Kwara State before the elections was to go on air and tell the people that no amount of money can buy me. I made them understand that their votes would count and I was not ready to compromise” he said.

Recall the last election in the state saw the All Progressive Congress (APC) winning all the elections in Kwara. They cleared all 24 state House of Assembly seats and all three senatorial slots.
